Netherlands vs. Brazil

An annoying referee,

a very unwise move leading to a red card in the second half after mere minutes of being substitute,

the struggling of 10 men instead of 11 in the important final half of the match,

a rough, bitter and ill-tempered second half,

some awesome saves by the Dutch goalkeeper,

some unlucky deflections of the Jabulani,

the damnable Jabulani and its flaws,

all of which overshadowed the breezy lead in the first half; and

the display of confidence and bulletproof defence synonymous to Brazilian football...

Last night, the Dutch has trumped over the Brazilian in a nail-biting quarter finals match, one of the most frustrating losses in Brazilian football history, but one which has written good history in Dutch football...

Nevertheless, it was an exciting match which kept me at the edge constantly, dirty in a way, with tempers and emotions flying high, but it was still a good match.

Reason: Brazil didn't give up without a fight. A good one at that. They didn't concede to defeat without putting on a chivalrous fight. And I'm proud of them for that.

Goodbye Joga Bonito; the good football of Brazil, at least in the World Cup 2010.

THIS IS NOT THE END FOR YOU.
