Grandma,
You have lived your life like a candle,
Giving with all your heart,
Never complaining,
Never once giving up,
Even when life had little to offer.

Grandma,
You have lived for us,
You were like a safe harbour,
You persevered and stayed strong,
Shrouding us in your warmth and love,
In the face of harsh reality.

Goodbye Grandma,
You have lived a long and fruitful life,
Now you belong to Heaven,
In the loving arms of your Creator,
May you ever grow in our hearts,
May you rest in peace.



This poem is dedicated to my dearest Grandma (or fondly known as Ma-Ma) who passed away on 10.07.2009.

Ma-Ma, words cannot describe how much you mean to us;
how fondly and dearly we love and cherish you; and
how your compassion, love and sacrifice had helped shape what and who we are today.

Rest in peace, Ma-Ma.
